James M. Fay

James M. Fay, 91, of Egg Harbor Township NJ, Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend to all, died Saturday April 25, 2020 from natural causes at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland NJ.

Jim was born in Philadelphia to Michael and Madeline Fay in June 1928. He was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School, served in the US Army in Japan and Korea. He married his sweetheart T. Joan Hughes (1930-2016) on April 16th 1955. He was a long-time resident in St Matthews parish in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia where they raised four children. Jim worked for Reliable Sewer Cleaners, James Michael Fay Corporation and Reuter-Hanney until his retirement. He will be remembered as a great fisherman, conversationalist, smoker of fine cigars and card player.

Jim is survived by Son James-Michael Fay (Christine), Daughter Mary Jean Fay (Michael Reuter Deceased), Son Francis X. Fay (Terry), and Daughter Margaret Ann Ziff (James). Grandchildren include Brian Ziff, Megan Ziff, Michael Ziff, and Mary Kate Ziff, Kimberlee Bowen (Jay), John McErlean (Jennifer), Christie Alminde (Sean) and nine fantastic and accomplished great grandchildren and one great great grandson. He is also survived by his sister Madeline Bodalski, Sister in law Mary Hughes, Brother in law Jack Dowds and a multitude of Nieces and Nephews of the Dorsam, Dowds, Bodalski, Ganert, and Hughes families.

Jim will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem Bucks County Pennsylvania on Friday May 1st 2020 with military honors. Due to the Corona Virus and government restrictions the grave side service will be private. A funeral mass and memorial service will be announced after the restrictions are lifted.
