After a protracted battle with cancer, Bernadette O’Toole Foisy died peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in her Langhorne, PA home at the age of 63. She leaves behind her husband, Michael J. Foisy and her children, Michelle Bernadette Foisy and Christopher Michael Foisy.
Bernadette was born on May 1, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA to father Edward O’Toole and mother Margaret Zeller O’Toole, who both predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernadette graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 1976 and moved to California that same year. She was wooed back to Philadelphia in 1982 by Michael and they were married soon after. Bernadette was a 32-year employee of PECO Energy. She was a career driven professional and mentored others in her field. She graduated from Philadelphia Textile University in 1998.
Bernadette was always dedicated to supporting her family. She maintained many friendships from childhood. Bernadette took delight in spending time on her boat after her retirement. She enjoyed family gatherings and parties. Bernadette was gregarious and sociable. She was a loving, caring person that will be greatly missed by many.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Radisson Hotel, 2400 Old Lincoln Hwy, Trevose, PA 19053 from 1 - 4 pm.
