Lois M. Joyce
10/04/1932 – 07/22/2021

Lois was born in Kingston, PA to Charles and Lula Mountjoy. She was one of seven children. Lois retired from Bell Telephone after 26 years. She was first hired as an Information Operator and finished her career looking for conduits on maps so that streets could be marked where the phone lines were. After retirement, she spent several years working at Boscov’s. She enjoyed the work she did for both companies and made many friends along the way.

Lois was widow to John J. Joyce of Philadelphia. They were always going to see the old ships sailing or watching fireworks or enjoying several cups of coffee together!
Lois is survived by her son Delbert E. Wech Jr (Theresa “Terry”) and her daughter Karen S. Franchi (Augusto “Gus”). She was pre-deceased by her son David J. Wech (Roxanne). Lois loved and worried about her children and wanted only the best for them.

Lois also had amazing grandchildren (Theresa “Ryan” Wech, David Wech, Rick Wech, Casey Wech, Steven Franchi (Sarah) and Dominic Franchi) and phenomenal great-grandchildren (AJ, Giuliana, Charlotte). She enjoyed them all and was amazed at all they could do.

Lois was a fashion plate from the earliest of times. She would not leave the house without her hair and make up being perfect and her jewelry “on”. She would even return home if she forgot to put on her rings! She liked music (Englebert was her favorite), going to live shows, watching old movies, reading celebrity magazines and window shopping. She was naturally friendly and easy to get along with. Yes, a social butterfly!

Lois was a strong independent woman until the end of her time on earth. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hearing what everyone was doing. She will continuing to watch over them and enjoy the happiness and success they have.

Our Angel, Lois M. Joyce
