On the evening of July 20, 2022, Jean D. Nastasi, age 78, peacefully passed away at her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The beloved Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Darren Cornwell; grandchildren, Kayla and Joseph Gidzinski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Nastasi.

Jean was a kind, hardworking, and soft-spoken woman who enjoyed the little things in life. Whether it be gardening or having an interest in all things butterfly. One of her favorite pastimes was taking trips to the casino with her husband, Frank, and longtime best friend, Rose Green, aka Cookie. She was also an avid lover of cross-stitching, solving puzzles, and taking on many other creative projects in her spare time. Not to mention, she was a lover of animals, especially cats. Jean always made sure her cats were well taken care of and treated like royalty. She, too, adored the music of the incredible Elvis Presley and had a sweet tooth like no other.

Most importantly, Jean’s family and friends meant the world to her. From admiring her grandchildren unwrapping presents on Christmas day to whipping up a delicious, home cooked meal for her loved ones to remember. She was immensely grateful for her neighbors when in times of need, as well as family friend, Tyra Hamilton. Over the last couple of months, Tyra had brought over her little ones, Cassie and Amelia. The 2 girls never failed to express how they loved visiting “Miss Jean.” Jean was the light in everyone’s life and will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her gentle soul.

Throughout Jean's lifetime, she donated to animal shelters, as it was a priority to her. If possible, in Jean's honor, please make a donation to any animal shelter of your choosing.

Committal service for Jean and Frank will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2022, Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown, PA.
