Patricia Ann (Berry) McTaggart, 83 died peacefully from natural causes at home on March 6, 2023.

The McTaggart family is grateful for the care and medical attention provided by the home based nurses, home caretakers and others who looked after Trish during her final days. Trish was a long time Philadelphia resident and passionate Phillies, Eagles and college basketball fan. She was born on June 4, 1939 in Philadelphia, and graduated from Frankford high school in Philadelphia. She then attended secretarial training and worked as a secretary and administrative assistant when she married her husband James who was in the Marines Corps and then the Reserves. She was a woman of great faith including supporting the Medical Mission Sisters in addition to her parish churches.

She was predeceased by her mother, Marie (Bednarek) Berry and her stepfather, Roy Berry. Her husband, James Francis McTaggart predeceased her in 2007. Survivors include her sister, Nancy Muller, Concord, CA; her brother, Matt predeceased her in 2017. Her children are: Timothy R. McTaggart (Elizabeth), Chevy Chase, MD; Michael F. McTaggart (Dr. Maura McManus), Wilmington, DE and Kevin J. McTaggart, Philadelphia, PA. Her grandchildren are: Caroline J. McTaggart, Chevy Chase, MD and Christopher A. McTaggart, Chevy Chase, MD studying in Sweden, as well as Leo McTaggart and his twin sister, Annie McTaggart, Wilmington, DE.

Trish loved Cape May, NJ and the shore. She enjoyed Barbara Streisand movies and music. She also enjoyed birds, gardening, cats, reading, diners, and family barbecues.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Church at 2000 Shelmire Street, Philadelphia, PA 19152 on March 11, 2023. Where a visitation will be held from 10-11AM. Burial services will be private for family members. Memorial contributions in Patricia McTaggart’s name may be made to Resurrection Church or to Medical Mission Sisters in North America, 8400 Pine Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
