Geraldine Bloh, 75, longtime resident of Rhawn Gardens passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Geri happily retired from the IRS after 35 years. After retiring Geri enjoyed volunteering at St. Basil Academy. Whether it was helping in the kitchen or chaperoning on trips to Bermuda, they could always count on her to help out.

Geri loved food. You could always find her watching The Food Network. She was always surrounded by recipes that she wanted to try. She would write them down on the first thing she found. It was never unusual to find a random recipe on an envelope, or bill, receipt… She liked to try many of the ones she found. But, after a few bites she was done. She may have liked to make food, but she wasn’t a big eater. Only a little bit on her plate, eat one thing at a time, and don’t let anything touch.

In the early 2000’s she was introduced to an Irish band, Blackthorn. It didn’t take long for friendships with the band and their fans to grow. Friendship turned into family, and she was affectionately known as “Momma G.” One of her favorite songs was, Hills of Donegal. But, there is not one Suspect that won’t think of her when they hear, “When NY was Irish.”

Geri loved her family. Her mom, daughter, and grandkids. She will be missed by many. But, now she is in a better place with the family that she missed and can finally say again, “I’m just ginger peachy.”

Geri was the beloved daughter of Elva (nee Mallon) and (late) Frederick Bloh. Devoted mother of Jaime Lee Flagler (Larry); sister of Frederick J. Bloh and Rosemary E. McMurphy. Loving grandmother of Clare, Shannon, and Seamus.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Geri Bloh on Friday April 9, 2021 at St. Jerome Church, 8100 Colfax St., Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 9:15-10:15am. Funeral mass to follow starting at 10:30am. Rite of Committal will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the FOP Lodge #5 Survivor’s Fund by clicking the link below:
