Michael J. McGlynn, 53, of Philadelphia, PA, passed Sunday, February 20th

Michael was the loving husband of Francine (nee Samarco). Devoted father of Gina and Breanna (Elis Beleshko). Dear grandfather of Michael, William, Daniel, Liliana, Julian, and Alyssa "Sally Star". Brother of Daniel (Kim), the late John (Nancy), Susan Pierson (George) and Thomas (Pam). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family.

John A. Capra

John A. Capra, 74, a longtime resident of Mayfair, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 18, 2022, with his family by his side.

John was the beloved husband of Diane Capra (nee Fortuna) of 50 years; loving father of John J. Capra (Tara Chambers), Sandy Collier (Jason), and Jamie Sabec (Brian), proud grandfather of Alyssa, Jason, and Abby Collier; Aubrey and Avery Sabec; Zoey and Delaney; and great-granddaughter Violet. He is also survived by his brother George Capra and was predeceased by his brother Paul Capra.

John was a devoted husband, father, and Pop-Pop. John truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending vacations at the Jersey shore.

Jim T. Downs

James T. Downs (Jim) passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the age of 74, from Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

Jim was the beloved husband of Concetta (Connie) Downs (Sepielli) for 50 years. Loving Father of James T. Downs, PhD., Jeffrey Downs, and Jaclynn (Jaci) Downs, adoring grandfather of Jada. He is also survived by his siblings Patricia O’Neill (Ret. Col. Peter), Joseph (Joan), and John (Beverley); sisters-in-law Lynn Ferrara (Jim) and Sue Pettola (Ray). Jim was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Florence Downs and his brother, Martin Downs (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews.

Patrick R. Seiberlich

Patrick R. Seiberlich, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday February 16, 2022.

Patrick was a loving brother to Michael (Sherry) and Ralph (Iryna); caring uncle of Rhonda Murray (Patrick), Dawn Hildreth, Michael, Patrick and Michelle Seiberlich. He is also survived by his nephews Ralph, Jr. (Jamie Caroll), George, and Kristopher Seiberlich; 5 great grand nieces and nephews, and many extended family members, neighbors, and friends.

Relatives and friends are asked to attend his viewing on Monday February 21, 2022 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 9-10am. A funeral service will take place starting at 10am; interment to be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

Richard K. Gray

Richard K. Gray, 75, longtime resident of Mayfair, passed away on Monday February 7, 2022.

Richard was the beloved husband of Rosemarie Gray (nee Mroz) for 51 years; loving father of Richard L. Gray (Sandra), Brian Gray, and Charles Gray. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas and Victoria; and his brother Gerald Gray (Carol).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday February 10, 2022 at St. Matthew Church 3000 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 9:30-10:15am. A funeral mass will take place starting at 10:30am; interment will be held privately by the family at a later date.

Dean N. Lucas

Dean N. Lucas, 44, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday February 5, 2022.

Dean was the beloved husband of Heidi Lucas (nee Foster) for 23 years. Loving father to (late) Dean, Preston (Jessica Foster), Alec, Maverick, Savannah, Carson, Dawson, Donovan, Myla, and Molly Lucas; Caring brother to Philip Jr. (Jane), Kenneth (Bonnie), Joseph (late Elizabeth), (late) Russell (Cindy), Gary (Ellen), Cheryl Pannell (David), William (late Andrea), Wayne, Anita Howell (Richard), Deann Louie (Chris), Keith (Tonya), Yvonne Foster (Michael), Stephen (Renita), Scott (Robin), (late) Sharon, and Sheri Paton (Mark). Dean also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, who will all miss him dearly.

Freda H. Hemerka

Freda H.Hemerka (Hartzel) 91, of Churchville, went home peacefully into the arms of the Lord, on January 28,2022 at the Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

Freda married William Hemerka on May 30, 1948 and was blessed with three wonderful children. Freda is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Elsie, four siblings, and husband William. Freda is survived by her three children: Dan (Debbie), Diane (Chuck), Dawn (Ken); 7 grandchildren: Shawn (Heather), Danielle (Mark), Jason, Denise (Chris), Darlene, Courtney, Kyle: and 2 great granddaughters: Reese and Hadley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The American Lung Cancer Society in memory of her late husband or the Gibbsboro Methodist Church, Gibbsboro, NJ. Freda's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to The Buckingham Valley Nursing Home. The funeral and burial will be private per Freda's request.

Margaret M. "Peg" Kelly

Margaret M. Kelly (Peg), 88, longtime resident of Far Northeast Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 27, 2022.

Peg was the beloved mother of (late) Thomas V. Crilley, Patricia Nocentino (Robert), Eileen Green, Chuck Crilley (Liza), and Margaret Jordan (David); proud grandmother of Helena Nocentino; Louis, Kimberly, and Jacqueline Tomasco; and Tommy Crilley. She was also a great grandmother of Juliet, Joseph, Timmy, Jaelynn, and Jacob. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Nancy Kelly & Maxine Simpson, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick & Mary Kelly, and siblings John Kelly & Kathryn Dee.  

Peg is also survived by her beloved fur baby – Nellie, a 14 year old shih tzu. 

Peg was born and raised in North Philadelphia as a member of the Corpus Christi parish and graduated from Hallahan High School.

Jillian Marie Sinnerard

Jillian Marie Sinnerard, 35, passed away suddenly on Friday January 21, 2022.

Jillian was the beloved daughter of Lisa (nee DiBeradino) and David Sinnerard Sr.; loving mother of Arianna Alicea; caring sister of Lorianne Sinnerard (Anthony), David Sinnerard Jr., and Christopher Sinnerard. She is also survived by her nephew David Sinnerard III, extended family members, and friends, who will all miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are asked to attend her viewing on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 6-8pm. A funeral service will begin at 8pm; interment to be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations toward Arianna’s Education Fund.

Ellen Barbara Howell

Ellen Barbara Howell, 83, passed away on Monday January 10, 2022.

Ellen was predeceased by her husband Robert Howell, Sr.; beloved mother of Barbara Huf (Randall), Robert Howell, Jr. (Beth), Tina Donahoe (Ed), Mark Howell (Sienlie), (late) Darrell Howell (Dale), Richard Howell (Anita), Patricia Howell, (late) Stephen Howell, Jesse Howell (Diane), Nelson Howell (Nella), and Julia Roldan (Lorenzo). She was a caring grandmother of 36 and great grandmother of 31, with 3 on the way.
