Edwin G. Greiner, 86, longtime resident of Mayfair passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Edwin served in the Korean War as part of the US Army and worked for the Reading Railroad and Conrail for 43 years.  He served as his Union District Chairman for 10 years with the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks and was a devoted member of the St. Matthew Men’s Choir and Bowling League for many years. Playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family was what he loved to do the most.Affectionately known as Poppy Ed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren he was always quick to joke and could almost always be seen dancing or singing. With a strong zest for life, Ed, was always living his life to the best by being a fun-loving person. He will be unbelievably missed by his family, extended family and many friends.

Edwin was the beloved husband of his wife Margaret Ann (Marge) Greiner (nee Donaghy) for 64 years. He was the loving father of Maryhelen Foglia (Dennis), Joe Greiner (Wendy), Tricia Kueny (Charles), and Margaret Ann Buck (Blaine). Devoted grandfather of Sarah Irwin (Jorge), Jennifer McDevitt (Ryan), and Courtney Foglia; Samantha, Joey Jr., and Kerri Greiner; Letitia Kueny, Celeste Leary (Joe), and Carlie Kueny; Blaine Buck (Christine), Jessica Mitchell (Steffon), and Eric Buck. Proud great grandfather of 11 Cara, James, Ryan, Mia, Olivia, Joshua, Peyton, Jadeyn, Blaine, Brinley, Sophia and his many fur babies. Edwin is survived by his brother Charles Greiner (Barbara) and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Edwin Greiner on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Matthew Church 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila, PA 19149 from 9:15-10:15am. A mass of Christian Burial will follow starting at 10:30am. A rite of committal will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
