Betty Anne Gibbons

Elizabeth Anne Gibbons (nee Shaner), 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Betty Anne worked at the Immaculate Mary Home as a housekeeper/aide, who was delighted to visit the residents daily, and was always up for a good time with her co-workers. She loved the beach and gossiping with neighbors. Betty Anne and her good friend Alice could constantly be found sitting outside having their coffee and an occasional ice cream from Mister Softee, while watching the dogs go by on their walks.

Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia to her parents (late) Mary L. (nee MacGillivray) and Norman Shaner. She was the beloved wife of William Gibbons for 67 years; loving mother of Kathleen Weckesser (late John), William (Patricia), Eileen, Steven, and Elizabeth Mary Gibbons (Robin). Betty was the proud Nan of John Weckesser and Shannon Goetz (Bob); Amber Gibbons and Sean McCloskey (Erin); and Mollie Gibbons; great-grandnan to Zander, Katie, Adam, and Jimmy. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Gilbert (Bob) and is survived by her in-laws Joan, Margie, Mary, Margie and James.
