Steve was born in Tallya, Hungary where he was trained as a professional tailor. He served with the Hungarian army until he came to America during the Hungarian Revolution in 1957. He worked hard to learn English and proudly became an American citizen. He worked as a tailor at Daroff and Sons and Botany 500 making custom men's suits. He ran his own custom drapery business and spent time teaching at Craft Fashion Institute. Steve enjoyed the casinos, music and dancing with his wife through out his life.
He is predeceased by his wife of 62 yrs Mary(nee) Salvino. Loving father of Stevie, Marisa Kilman( Robert), Nancy Minich (William). Adoring Pops of Lauren-Michele, Brittany, Madeline and Christian. Proud Nonno of Aubrey, Avery, Harlow, Charlie and Hadley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Steve's visitation on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila., 19149. Where his Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
