We are very saddened to announce that Elizabeth Eaton Paton (Betty) was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday January 4th 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and a devout Christian.
Betty was born on September 19, 1934, to James and Elizabeth Eaton. Growing up, Betty was a schoolteacher at First Century Gospel Church. On August 3, 1958, Betty married the love of her life, Roger Paton.
Her father came to the United States from Northern Ireland. Betty made many trips to Northern Ireland to spend time with her Irish family, whom she loved.
Jesus was everything to Betty and she cherished any time she had studying her Bible. She was known for being a prayer warrior.
Betty was a member of Christian Life Church. She also attended Gospel of Grace Church and Calvary Chapel.
Everyone knew of her Christian values. Betty was involved with Angel Food Ministries, and she worked in the Children’s Ministry at Christian Life Church for many years. Later in life, she started a prayer chain and hosted many prayer gatherings.
Betty was preceded in death by James and Elizabeth Eaton (Parents), James Eaton (Brother), Roger Allen Paton Sr. (Husband), Roger Allen Paton Jr. (Son), James Matthew Paton (Son), and Penelope Yoder (Great-Granddaughter). She is survived by Barbara Paton (Loving daughter-in-law) and her children Ricky Allen Paton (Grandson); Christy Elaine Yoder (Granddaughter) and her family Derek Yoder (Husband), Morgan Yoder (Great-granddaughter), Graham Yoder (Great-grandson), and Madison Yoder (Great-granddaughter); Heather Elizabeth Ballie (Granddaughter) and her family, Phillip Ballie (Husband), Fitzwilliam “Fitz” Ballie (Great-grandson), and Emma Ballie (Great-granddaughter); Elizabeth “Beth” Howell (Daughter) and her husband Robert Howell, and their children Elizabeth Sara Chase (Granddaughter) and her family Phillip Chase (Husband), Elizabeth “Anne” Chase (Great-granddaughter), and Magnolia “Maggie” Chase (Great-granddaughter); Robert Allen Howell (Grandson) and his family Christine Howell (Wife), and Parker Howell (Great-grandson); Letitia “Tricia” Lee (Daughter) and her husband, Lt. Col. Robert Lee (Ret.), and their family, Preston Mitchell Lee (Grandson), Andrew Patrick Lee (Grandson), and Payton Elizabeth Lee (Granddaughter).
Betty’s favorite passage in the Bible was Psalm 23.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing 12:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Christian Life Church, 3100 Galloway Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by her funeral service that will begin at 1:00 pm. Elizabeth's Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery after her service.
