Gary A. Potok, DDS, a devoted pediatric dentist known for his intelligence, kindness, and gentle spirit, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on September 12, 1957, Gary dedicated his life to caring for others, particularly children, through a lifelong career in dentistry that left a lasting impact on many families.
Gary was the beloved child of the late Ruth (née Weidenmiller) and Zygmund Potok. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard. A proud graduate of North Catholic High School, Allentown College, and the Temple University School of Dentistry, Gary built a respected reputation in the dental community through years of compassionate service as a pediatric dentist.
Left to cherish Gary’s memory is his loving sister Lorraine Przybyszewski and her husband Thaddeus, nieces Dawn Loizos and her husband Dimitrios, and Sherry Harrington and her husband Brian. Gary was also a proud great-uncle to Alexandra, Daphne, and Brandon. Their extended family includes many cousins who deeply valued Gary’s presence in their lives.
Family and friends are invited to gather for services on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19149. Visitation will take place from 9:15 to 10:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
