Linda F. Stevenson, born on November 10, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2025. A loving, faith-filled, and intelligent woman, Linda’s life was a testimony of her devotion to God, her family, and her church.
Linda was the daughter of the late Sara and Horace Foster. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill J. Stevenson, and her sister, Bonnie. Though she has left this earthly home, her faith assures those who loved her that she is now at peace and rejoicing in heaven.
Linda took great pride in her education, especially in being part of the first class to graduate from the 12th grade at Faith Tabernacle school. This milestone was not only an academic achievement but a spiritual one, as it deepened her walk with the Lord and shaped the foundation upon which she built her life of service.
Her love for education continued as she taught for many years at Faith Tabernacle school. She cherished her time there, pouring into the lives of her students with care, wisdom, and a Christ-centered perspective. Her dedication to teaching was an expression of her faith and her desire to see the next generation grow in knowledge and in the Lord.
Linda dearly loved her family. She is survived by her children: Gary (Laura), Justin (Deangela), Sara Kilbride (Ronald), Kurt (Victoria), and Chad Stevenson. She was a devoted mother, whose guidance and prayers were a constant source of strength and comfort for her children.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Chase, Brantley, Skylar, Wyatt, Tanner, Malachi, Jordan and the late Liam. To them, she was a loving grandmother whose faith, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Linda’s love extended to her siblings, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. She is survived by her sisters and her brother: Sharon Stecher (Gary), Charlene Reinert (late Donald), Nancy Stecher (Glenn), Stanley Foster (Denise), Barbara Rambo (late William), and Sandra Foster. Together they shared many years of family memories, faith, and support.
Linda’s heart was firmly anchored in her church. She loved her church community and found great joy and purpose in worship, fellowship, and service. Her faith was not just something she professed but something she lived daily, in quiet acts of kindness, steadfast prayer, and unwavering trust in God.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, December 2nd, at John F. Fluehr and Sons at 3301 Cottman Ave. Phila. 19149, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for a viewing, followed by her service. Interment will take place at North Cedar Hill Cemetery.
