Michael J. Lacey

Michael J. Lacey, of Mayfair, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 surrounded by his family at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of 38 years to Elizabeth Lacey (deceased). Devoted father of Colleen and Michael S. Lacey (Angela). Beloved Grandfather "P-Pop" of Paige & Michael Lacey. He is predeceased by his parents William and Sophia and his siblings; Larry, William, and Patrick Lacey and survived by his nieces and nephews.

Michael was a retired Philadelphia Police Officer/Detective and Veteran of the United States Air Force. Michael was a huge Philadelphia Sports “Phan”, especially the Phillies & Eagles. He also enjoyed disco, dancing, driving, sailing and crabbing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michael's Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 25th, 11:00 AM at John F. Fluehr and Sons Funeral Home, located at 3301 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA. 19149, where his visitation will take place from 9-11AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.

Allan W. Chandler

Allan W. Chandler passed on October 14th at the age of 77. Beloved husband of the late Janice Chandler (nee Huf). Devoted father of Candace Brubaker (Darren). Dear brother of the late Jack (Sylvia), Evelyn Paton (the late Barry), Robert (Sandra), the late Louise Annette, Charles (Jeanne), Linda Rumer (Harry), Kenneth (Teri), Warren (Karen), Timothy (the late Pamela). Allan is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Danielle Bobbie

Danielle Bobbie passed away suddenly October 8th at the age of 36.

Danielle was loving mother to Sanaa and Amari Davis; Daughter of Michael Bobbie and the late Michelle Rubio, sister of Shannon Miller(West), Michael Miller, Ashley Bobbie (Chuck)and Shane Bobbie (Sara).
Danielle was a beautiful, hard working, single mother of 2 children who she adored with all of her heart. Danielle was a graduate of Frankford High, where she cheered on the Pioneers. She often volunteered her free time coaching cheerleading at Moss Recreation Center.

Danielle just recently turned 36 and had her whole life ahead of her. She loved dancing and making TikTok videos with her daughter Sanaa, her sister Ashley and her cousin Christina.
She was one of the goofiest people you would know and usually the life of the party. There wasn't a person who met her that didn't love her. Danielle was always smiling no matter what she was going through. She loved animals and often took in strays she found while working.

She will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

James Matthew Paton

James Matthew Paton passed away suddenly on Sunday October 8th.

James enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a truck driver for Werner Trucking for many years and loved posting many beautiful pictures as he traveled across the U.S.A. Because of health reasons he had to change jobs and was currently working for Huntington Valley Country Club as a groundskeeper, which he loved. Jesus was his Lord and Savior. There was never a dull moment when James Matthew was around and he will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Roger Allen Paton and his brother Roger Allen Paton Jr. Survived by his mother Elizabeth Ellis Paton, sisters Elizabeth Howell (Robert), Leticia Lee (Robert) sister-in-law Barbara Paton

Patricia Anne Fusaro

Patricia Anne Fusaro passed away on the morning of October 5th, 2023. Patricia was a loving mother and a joyful soul who spread kindness and care to anyone that she came across in a genuine manner. A Philadelphia native, Patricia’s adventurous spirit drove her to California on two separate occasions in her youth, but ultimately she settled down in her home area of Philadelphia. She is survived by her five children, Lawrence Edward Fusaro, Michelle Rushwick, Tina Fusaro, Krystylynn Stiebritz and Patrick Fusaro, along with four grandchildren, Blake, Ella, Sawyer and Sophia. The family will be holding a private celebration of life for Patricia. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Edward B. Malcom, Sr.

Edward B. Malcom, Sr., 77, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully October 2, 2023. He was born to Walter and Drewillie Malcom on August 25, 1946 in Philadelphia. He retired in 2007 after 30 years of service from the City of Philadelphia as a Level II social worker from the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility.

He was known as Benny to his parents and siblings, known as Benjamin to family and friends, and as Malcom to colleagues and co-workers. Benjamin was a man that believed in education and excellence. He grew up in North Philadelphia off of what was originally called Columbia Avenue, now renamed Cecil B. Moore Avenue, on Wilmington Street. He is a Gratz High School graduate who enlisted into the U.S. Air Force in October 1963. He served as an administrative specialist stationed at Stewart Air Force Base in New York and was honorably discharged in October 1967. It was during this time where he was married for the first time to Peggy Cobbs. Though the marriage did not last as intended, they had 2 sons and 1 daughter together; Edward, Jr., Gerald, and Rochelle.

Following his time in the military, Benjamin returned to Philadelphia and found a career path working for the City of Philadelphia starting with the Gang Control Unit. Working with troubled teens was his heart’s passion. It was around this time when he met the love of his life, Ana Delia Delgado. Together they began to build a life that would stand the test of time. He later pursued a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Lincoln University and continued his 30 year career which evolved from working with juveniles at the Youth Study Detention Center to working with adult inmates at The Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility.

On October 1st, 2023 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Stanley. Dolores was the proud member of Nazareth Academy's class of 1951. As well as an avid Philadelphia sports fan; especially the Phillies and the Eagles. Dolores is survived by her children Edward J. (Kathleen) Stanley, Valerie Stanley, and her grandchildren, Colleen, James and Michelle.

On October 2, 2023. Beloved husband of Therese O'Malley. Dear brother of Bernadette Funk, Joseph Funk (Julia) and John Funk (Donna). Richard is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was born in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips to Potter and Carbon Counties. Richard was the former owner of Funk's Auto Service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard's Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 11th, 10:30AM at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church located 3000 Cottman Ave. Phila. PA. 19149. Where a visitation will take place from 9:15-10:15AM. Richard's interment will take place at St. Dominic's Cemetery. Suddenly on September 27, 2023. Anne was the beloved mother of Megan Marks (William), and devoted Grandmother of Ryan, Matthew and Emma. Loving sister of Regina Mosby (Myron), William Perchick (Darlene) and aunt of Kimberley and Angela (Corey). Anne was predeceased by her parents, William and Jean Perchick and also her nephew Leonard. Anne is also survived by her Uncle Walt McNally (Ann) and Aunt Anne Jacovini (Joseph), along with many cousins, great nieces and nephews and countless friends. Anne will be missed by her special "friends" Anna and George and her fur babies Elf and Star.

Gilberta Rocha

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gilberta Rocha, a devoted wife of 31 years to Joe Rocha, loving mother to Stephanie, Jason and Briana, and dear sister to Jose Amaral. A sweet aunt and sister-in-law to a big family. She was the glue that held her family together, an overflowing source of love.

Born on September 19, 1968 in Travanca de S. Tomé, Portugal to Maria Gomes and the late Jose Amaral, Gilberta's journey brought her to the United States, where she not only realized her dream of raising a family but also became a beloved figure in her community.

Gilberta's love extended far beyond her immediate family. She possessed a passion for helping others, a quality that endeared her to everyone she met. Her sense of humor was light-hearted and her positive energy was truly contagious. Her caring nature was evident through the many acts of kindness like cooking meals for others, translating for friends and accompanying them to doctor appointments. She found her greatest happiness in making others happy and in serving them.

Gilberta found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from dancing to laughing, indulging in sweet treats, and watching Hallmark movies. Sunday diner trips with her closest friends were a cherished tradition and KLove radio was the soundtrack to her heart. Her faith was special and dear to her heart, a source of life and encouragement. Her love for the outdoors led to memorable camping trips and family BBQs. She was a dedicated supporter of her children's school activities and sports, always cheering them on in their life’s pursuits with encouragement.Gilberta cherished the serenity of peace and quiet, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her friends and family.
