Edward J. Gawronski

Edward J. Gawronski, 84, longtime resident of Mayfair, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 6, 2021.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Catherine (nee Djuria) and John Gawronski; caring brother of John Gawronski (late Florence); loving uncle of Karen Frank (David) & Elaine Petruzzelli (Carmen). He is also survived by his great nephews Andrew & David Frank; Giovanni & Eric Petruzzelli.

Relatives and friends are asked to attend his viewing on Saturday November 13, 2021 at St. Bernard Church 7341 Cottage Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 9-10am. A funeral mass will begin at 10am following the visitation; interment to follow at St. Benedict Cemetery in Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Bernard’s Church at the above address.

Walter T. Knoll

Walter Thomas Knoll, 61, longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Sunday November 7, 2021.

Walter worked as a Painting Foreman for over 30 years up until his recent retirement. Walter held a strong faith in God, and could regularly be found singing gospel music. He loved spending time in Brigantine, New Jersey at his family condo, and was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Walt was loved by many and was always there to help others in need.

Theodore G. Cherrington

Theodore G Cherrington, 81, of Philadelphia passed away Thursday, November 4th, at Philadelphia Protestant Home.

Loving husband of Carol L. Cherrington (nee Hartsough). Dear father of Patricia Kennedy, Susan (Sharon) Cherrington, and the late Debbie Wozniak and step father of Bill (Kelly) Helverson, and Joseph Helverson. Grandfather of Sarah Leon, Ashley (Jonathan) Chowanski, Rachael Davies, Alex Davies, Lilly Helverson, Ciara Williams, Rory Davies and Sean Davies. Great grandfather of Blaise Leon and Emelyn Chowanski.

Relatives and friends are invited Ted's viewing 10-12 on Friday, November 12th at the Philadelphia Protestant Home located at 6500 Tabor Ave Phila PA 19111 where a service will begin at 12. Interment to be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers donations in Ted's name may be made to the Philadelphia Protestant Home Benevolent Fund.

John J. Wrenn

John J. Wrenn, 86, longtime resident of Mayfair and Juniata, passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2021.

John was the beloved husband of Maryanne Wrenn (nee McMenamin) for 54 years. Brother to his siblings Lawrence (late Lynn), James (Dorothy DeAngelo Wrenn), Eileen Renders (Luke), and (late) Patricia Caputo. John was a caring uncle to George Sinese (Paz), Corrine Wrenn, Jamie O’Neill, Michael Caputo, Albert Caputo, and Marie Caputo; and leaves behind extended family members, neighbors, and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard Church 7341 Cottage Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136 on a date to be determined.

Carol V. Hulitt

Carol V. Hulitt (nee Hess), 73, longtime resident of Mayfair, passed away on Friday October 22, 2021.

Carol is survived by her husband, Chip Hulitt, of over 35 years and her son Charles Hulitt, III.

Relatives and friends are asked to attend her visitation on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 9-10am. A funeral service will begin at 10am; interment to be held privately by her husband at a later date.

Beth Ann Guilmet

Beth Ann Guilmet (nee Sachs), 49, passed away suddenly on Friday October 15, 2021.

Beth Ann was the beloved wife of Ronald Guilmet for 18 years; dear friend of Vanette & Antonio Capece; loving godmother to Taylor, Emily, Antonio, and Giovanni. She also leaves behind her beloved Pitbull Jayla and her parents.

Joseph W. Perry

Have known day would come. My Dad passed this afternoon. Joseph W. Perry Sr. He had tested positive for the virus the other day. He went in the company of some of my immediate family, and was not alone.

My friends know I seldom post personal thoughts on here, but I have to tell you about my Dad.

He was 93 years old. 93, Good Lord. He had a sister, Marie, who he loved dearly and she loved him. He had out lived two wives, my Mom Barbara and my step-mom Delores. (My Mom and Dolores were best friends that made for some playful rumors after he married Delores). He had two sons, and a daughter (Joe and Barbara). Also, had three step-children, David, Missy and Frank Piver, who were like blood relatives to him and me. He a few step grand-kids he adored to. And, he had nieces and nephews he was proud of as well.

Richard T. Conners

Richard T. Conners, 73, resident of LaFontaine, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Richard was born in Philadelphia and joined the United States Airforce in 1967 eventually earning the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 28 years of service. A simple man, Rich mostly enjoyed being at home reading books, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family.

Richard was the beloved husband of Virginia Conners (nee Hamilton); loving father to Patrick Conners (Natalie), Kelly Conners, Christopher Conners (Elizabeth); proud grandfather to Lauren and Kayla Conners; Owen and Olivia Conners. He is also survived by his sister Susan Boddy, extended family members and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday October 16, 2021 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 10-12pm. A service will take place beginning at 12pm; interment to be held privately by the family at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

John Charles Cahall

John Charles Cahall, 21, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

J.C. was the beloved son of (late) Charles C. Cahall and Jennifer Martinelli (nee Madsen) (Dominic); caring brother of Ryan, Danny, Marlee, and Georgia; grandson of Charles and Rita Cahall, John and Karen Madsen. He is also survived by his aunts Kim Schwartz, Julie Madsen, and uncles John Madsen (Kelly); Sam Martinelli (Kelly); many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday October 11, 2021 at John F. Fluehr & Sons 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 from 7-8pm. A service will take place beginning at 8pm; interment to be held privately by the family.

Meta D'Adderio

Meta D’Adderio, 97, a longtime resident of Mayfair, was born in Bochum, Germany. At age 5, she immigrated to Philadelphia with her parents, Meta and August Palow, and sister Hildegard.  A proud alumna of Girls High School and Moore College of Art, Meta was an illustrator and enjoyed working as a sales associate at John Wanamaker for many years. She was married to (late) Michael D’Adderio, Sr. and is survived by her son, Michael D’Adderio, Jr. of NE Phila. Her daughter Susan D’Adderio died tragically in 1993. Meta was a gifted artist and calligrapher, a lover of animals, an arts and crafts enthusiast, and a former cub scouts den mother. She was proud of her German heritage and continued German language studies into adulthood.  Meta died peacefully at Paul’s Run Retirement Community where she was lovingly cared for and where her mother spent her final days, years before.  She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her gentle spirit, as well as the many crafts and gifts she bestowed on all who entered her home. Services will be held privately for Meta D’Adderio.
