Allan W. Small of Wissinoming, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at his residence, at the age of 62.

Beloved husband of the late Eileen Small (nee Fortuna). Devoted father of Allan J. Small (Elizabeth) and Christina Sankovich (Martin). Loving Pop Pop of Callie and Carli Small and Peyton and Sophia Sankovich. Dear brother of Barbara Ann Ejk (Kenneth) and David Small (Diane); also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Margaret E. Melcher

Margaret E. Melcher (nee Carroll) passed away suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 68.

Marg was born in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Margaret (nee Gibbons) Carroll. She attended St.Matthew School, St. Hubert High School for Girls and St. Mary Nursing School. She spent her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse helping and caring for others.

She is the beloved wife of the late Tilo Melcher, stepmother to Eric and Gina, grandmother to Tyler, Emily and Hannah. Devoted sister to Richard, Edward, John, Christopher, Elizabeth Fudali, Nancy Padilla and the late Mary Ann Mills. Sister-in-law to Linda, Frank, Joe and Ken. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Her two cats Tobby and Tuffy were her babies.

Anne E. Litchko

Anne (Annie) E. Litchko (Wiedemer), of Philadelphia, passed away April 27, 2020 at the age of 80 due to complications of Covid 19 with her family by her side.

Devoted mother of Ann-Margaret (Bob) and John (Trish). Adored grandmother to Laura, Bobby, and Alyssa.

Anne was born in Philadelphia on September 8, 1939 to Joseph Wiedemer and Barbara Bonfig. Her mother passed away when she was 5 years old. Since she was the youngest child, Barbara asked her sister, Anna, to take care of Anne. She wanted her to have a mother figure. She was raised by her aunt, Anna Bonfig, whom she called “mom” and uncle, Bill Bonfig.

Anne attended elementary school at St. Bartholomew and graduated from St. Hubert’s in 1957. She started working for Bell Telephone Company her senior year of high school following in the steps of her Aunt Anna (mom).

Gladys Mary Cifelli

Gladys Mary Cifelli (nee Lovesey), passed away at age 97 on April 22 , 2020 at Elkins Crest Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Wolverton, England, she was the oldest of 8 children of the late Joseph and Dora Lovesey. She was a member of the British Women's Land Army during WW11. She met Domenic Cifelli, who was stationed nearby and they were married in her hometown. She joined him in South Philadelphia when the war ended and they later moved to Holmesburg. She became a U.S. citizen August 13, 1958. She was a long time employee at Stone Container Corporation.

Sr. Jeanne Margaret Denny, M.S.B.T.

Sister Jeanne Margaret Denny Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity, a native of Philadelphia PA died on September 16, 2020.

Burial will take place at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery on September 21, 2020.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at some time in the future at Blessed Trinity Mother House Chapel to which family and friends will be invited.

Elisha Monique Chamblee

Elisha Monique Chamblee on Friday, September 18, 2020 passed away at the age of 36.

Beloved daughter of Marie Fitzpatrick (nee Rigous) and the late Chester L. Chamblee. Devoted mother of Sierra and Isaiah Gonzalez. Loving sister of Lafonda, Michael, William, Janavia, Diona and the late Chester Jr.; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held at Elisha's house on Friday September 25, 2020 at 5:00 P.M.

   


Alfonso John Barrulli

Alfonso John Barrulli died suddenly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 66.

Beloved son of the late Albert J. and Jean Barrulli. Loving brother Joan Marie (Philip) Taormina, Angela (Joseph) Dougherty, Albert Jr. (Kelli )Barrulli and the late Kathryn (Edward) Pelc. He is survived by his 11 nieces and nephews.

Loyal employee of City of Philadelphia City Commissioners Office Department of Voter Registration.

Bernadette O'Toole Foisy

After a protracted battle with cancer, Bernadette O’Toole Foisy died peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in her Langhorne, PA home at the age of 63. She leaves behind her husband, Michael J. Foisy and her children, Michelle Bernadette Foisy and Christopher Michael Foisy.

Bernadette was born on May 1, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA to father Edward O’Toole and mother Margaret Zeller O’Toole, who both predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and two brothers.  She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Bernadette graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 1976 and moved to California that same year. She was wooed back to Philadelphia in 1982 by Michael and they were married soon after. Bernadette was a 32-year employee of PECO Energy.  She was a career driven professional and mentored others in her field.  She graduated from Philadelphia Textile University in 1998.

Robert Johnston

Robert Johnston "Bob" of Mayfair on September 8, 2020 age 70.

Beloved son of Veronica M. (nee Fullerton) and the late Robert Johnston. Devoted brother of Veronica "Ronnie" Johnston.

Peter L. DeAngelis, Sr.

Peter L DeAngelis, Sr., of Philadelphia on August 30, 2020 at the age of 97.

Beloved husband for 73 years of Concetta (nee Ippolito). Devoted father of Anthony DeAngelis (Frances), Margherita Whitman, Peter DeAngelis, Jr. (Patricia). Adored grandfather of Christina DeAngelis, Maria Fernando (Rohan), Tricia Kelley (Robert), Lisa Kinneman (David), and Laura Whitman (Tracey). Proud great-grandfather of Jackson, Natalie, Leo, Lorelei, Chiara, Adeline, Kai, and Honor.

Although born a US Citizen, Peter spent his childhood in Ortona a Mare, Italy on the Adriatic Sea and later in Rome with his parents, Giovanni, and Margherita DeAngelis. He returned to the United States to Philadelphia at the age of 17 with his late brother, John. He began work at D’Alonzo’s as a tailor, where he was employed over the course of the next 45 years, and where he also met his wife, Connie. Even after retirement, Peter worked in private tailoring until his mid-80s. His wife Connie said Peter had “hands of gold.” He made everything from suits for his sons, to Halloween costumes for his grandkids to curtains for everyone’s homes. He used scissors for everything, including cutting pizza, a tradition that has held with most of his family.
